BPA-fee may not be enough!

Avoiding BPA-free plastic containers may not be enough! By now most people know about the dangers of Bisphenol A (BPA), a synthetic chemical in plastic materials used to package food, including the lining of metal cans. But BPA is only one of many chemical compounds found in plastic than can leach into our food and environment. Researchers at the University of Texas found that BPA-free baby bottles and water containers released chemicals that disrupt the endocrine system. In other words, they screw up hormones and physiological processes and have been linked to breast cancer, diabetes and other diseases. So protect yourself and your family by using glass, porcelain or steel containers to store or reheat foods and drinks.
