Feeling depressed? Drink this common beverage!

People who drank two to three cups of green tea every day were about 40% less likely to report feeling depressed than those who drank just one cup a day, according to a study published in The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, and Rutgers University. Antioxidants in green tea may reduce levels of cortisol, a stress hormone associated with depression. And freshly brewed green tea has more antioxidants than bottled tea.

Having a cup of green tea after a meal can also aid digestion. Just make sure you don’t drink too much to dilute the stomach acids that you need to help dissolve your food.
