Male infertility may be affected by too much alcohol

beerCouples having difficulty conceiving often blame the woman, but 40 percent of infertility problems are due to the man. There could be many factors involved in male infertility, including everything from congenital reasons to lifestyle issues.  According to a recent survey of men aged 18 to 28, those who consumed as few as five drinks a week had a slight decline in sperm concentration, total sperm count and percentage of healthy and normal sperm.  Please click this link to read Rachel Feltman's article, "Drinking can be hazardous to sperm," in the Washington Post for more details.
